Channel Fusion Holiday Card
Knudtson Wedding Program
Kurt Vonnegut Fiction Prize Poster

This is an accordian fold publication that displays the etymology of the the word fork.  My main concern with this project was to depict this quirky subject with unusual displays of type and illustration.

For this book, I traveled to a small town in Iowa by the name of Vinton.   I explored the new and interesting typefaces on various signage around town. I really enjoyed my experience when I came across a junkyard that was filled with all sorts of vernacular text

Architectural Record already produces a well-designed publication.  I was eager to use my creativity to create another look for this publication.  I used the type Futura which has an Art Deco feeling to it that resembles architecture depicted in the magazine.

This  was an inhouse project for the Chili Cook-off.  I wanted to explore western typography mixed with victorian advertising.  The textured paper in the background helped me to accomplish this look.

I was requested to make a custom holiday card for Channel Fusion. I wanted to incorporate the logo into the design.  I made the 3D ornaments in Illustrator and Photoshop for some of the lighting.  I love the simplicity of the design and colors.

I was happy to design my sister and brother-in-law's wedding program — May 9th, 2009. Thankfully, her inner bridezilla did not come out when she requested I do anything I want but it had to be black and white to save money. I felt the fun typography and disheveled arrangement really characterized their personalities and their love for one another. She absolutely loved this finished product.

Designed a Kurt Vonnegut poster that possibly be featured in North American Review.  I also did all the photography.   I love the geometric space and grid layout in this piece.

This was a student project to design a bookcover of any subject we would like. I've always been interested in Fashion Design so I was eager to start designing. In 2007, this won an Art Directors Association of Iowa award for one of the best collateral pieces.
